DEATH21 July 1905Wednesday evening Ulysses Mosier received injuries from which he died Friday morning. He was working for George Hulver on the farm five miles south of Lexington putting up hay. Mosier was driving a team that hoisted the hay into the barn; one of the traces came unfastened which caused the singletree to come back with great force, striking the unfortunate man just below the heart rendering him unconscious. He rallied, medical aid was called and the injured man received every attention, but it was impossible to save his life. Deceased was born and reared in Lexington, was about 39 years old and was a quiet and industrious young man. He was unmarried.; Lafayette, Missouri, United States
