(1910) In the name of God, Amen. I George W. Knight of the township of Pea Ridge in the County of Brown and the State of Illinois of the age 66 years and being of sound mind and memory, do hereby make and publish and declare this my Last Will and Testament in manner following, that is to say: First, It is my will that my funeral expenses and my just debts be fully paid. Second. I give and bequeath to my son Charles B. Knight all my personal property to be his absolutely. Third. I give to my son Charles B. Knight my real property the same being the North west quarter of the North east quarter of Section number five (5) in township number one (1) North of the baseline, range number four (4) West of the fourth principal meridian in the county of Brown and Sate of Illinois; however in consideration that my son Charles B. Knight as long as me and my wife Mary Knight shall live shall take care of us maintain and support us and the survivor of us so long as we shall live, and at our death give us descent burial and I herein will that my said wife in event she shall survive me, shall not have a claim on my homestead, dower, or widows award out of my estate or any other rights except a home and support and descent burial as above herein mentioned. I have other children, but I think I have made a just and wise provision for myself and wife in our declining years and for the best interest of all concerned. Lastly, I hereby nominate and appoint my son Charles B. Knight to be the Executor of this my last Will and Testament. Hereby revoking former Wills by me made.
